~ About this website ~

Nice to meet you, my name is "ししくライオン (ShishikuLion)" and I am the creator and operator of this website. Here I would like to talk about the concept of this website.

　I moved from the Kanto region to Sapporo when I entered university and spent six years of my student life in Hokkaido until I graduated with a master's degree (I was still a student at the time of writing this) . During this time, I decided that since I was spending so much time in Hokkaido, I should visit as many places as possible during my time there, so I drove around Hokkaido as shown in the photo above. Hokkaido is a fascinating place with abundant nature, delicious food and plenty to see. So I wondered if I could preserve the charm of Hokkaido and the memories of my travels in some form. At first, I just filed photos from my trips in folders on my smartphone and PC, but I felt that this was a bit tasteless to preserve my memories.

　Then I came up with the idea of this website. If I keep this website in the form of an encyclopedia, when I look at it myself, I will be able to recall my many memories of Hokkaido in more detail, and above all, by publishing it on the Internet, I can easily share the impressions I experienced in Hokkaido with many people. "I want to tell as many people as possible about the charms of Hokkaido, and I want them to visit the various parts of Hokkaido on their own and experience the same kind of excitement as I did." This is my wish expressed in this website.

　Finally, I hope that this website will be of some help to travellers in Hokkaido.

You can jump to the introduction of spots in each municipality from the four-coloured area lists on the Top page. To see all the spots in each area at once, please use green buttons below them, icon illustrations on the map or the side menu. The municipalities and their respective spots are basically listed in alphabetical order. Photo Gallery contains photos of all areas in Hokkaido, as well as photos that could not be included in the introduction of each spot.
